Concours d’art oratoire – Canadian Parents for French

The Concours d’art oratoire is a public-speaking competition for youth who are learning French in school. Students are tasked with writing and presenting an original three to five minute speech in French on a topic of their choice, which they submit in video format below.

Sec V and first year CEGEP students who win their category advance to the National Concours in Ottawa, Ontario. There, they compete against Provincial Concours winners from across Canada for a chance to win scholarships to the University of Ottawa and other Canadian universities (some in excess of $20,000).

CPF’s longstanding French public-speaking competition is open to youth who are learning French in school. It’s a great way to celebrate their many hours of hard work and official language bilingualism in Canada!
